What is the Restricted Licence Assessment?

The CBTA Restricted Motorcycle Licence (class 6R) is the second step on the New Zealand licence pathway. Passing lets you remove your L plate and starts the 12 month time clock running toward your full motorcycle licence — a major milestone for any rider.

At Revs, we prepare you fully for the on-road assessment — covering road position, hazard awareness, intersection behaviour, and all the CBTA competencies your assessor will be scoring you on. A LAMS-compliant hire bike is available if you don't have your own.
