Reservations & payment
Payment is due on or before commencement of your training course. Cash payments can be taken prior to commencement of your training, but please note we do not have Eftpos facilities at our training ground. Internet bank transfers are acceptable.
The payment must be received before the day of your training in order for any certificate to be issued on the day.
For Heavy Vehicle Licence and Endorsement courses, payment must be made before course materials will be despatched. Please ensure you pay with enough time for these to be despatched to you and for you to study the materials before your course.
Cancellations & refunds
We recognise that circumstances occasionally arise that require you to change your arrangements.
- For Car and Motorcycle courses, we require at least 48 hours' notice prior to commencement of your course and will refund in full any fees paid to us in advance of your course if required.
- For Heavy Vehicle and Endorsement courses, we require 7 days' notice, not including the day the course starts.
Payments made with a Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card may only be refunded to the original card used to secure the booking.
If you cannot provide us with the required notice, the full amount of your course fees are liable to forfeit. The training fees will be forfeited by the Customer under the following circumstances:
- Failure by the Customer to attend the course for any reason (excluding prior notice in accordance with the above cancellation policy).
- Failure by the Customer to present the necessary documentation at the time of the course.
- Customer is not in possession of suitable protective clothing for motorcycle safety. See relevant pages of this site for details.
- During your course, if you decide not to continue with your training, then no refund of the course cost is given.
The Instructor retains the right to withdraw the Customer from the intended course or practical test if the Instructor believes that the required standards of safety and control will not or have not been achieved. Where applicable, an alternative course may be substituted to enable the Customer to acquire the necessary level of competence. Any additional training required will be invoiced or quoted separately.
For cancelled courses where training materials have already been provided, the cost of the materials will be deducted from any refund.
Adverse weather
Training takes place rain or shine. Lessons may be rescheduled when severe conditions warrant.
Trainee conduct
You are responsible for always acting in accordance with the directions and advice given to you by your Instructor during your training. You are also responsible for making sure that you are adequately dressed and protected for motorcycle riding.
You are obliged to inform us of any physical condition or otherwise that could adversely affect safety or training.
Dangerous riding and inappropriate speeding will not be tolerated. You will accept full responsibility for your actions. Revs Motorcycle Training will not be accountable for any accident or incident that may occur during the training. You must operate your motorcycle according to current legislation when riding on public roads.
The Instructor has the right to halt or suspend training of a customer if he/she believes the Customer is incapacitated in any way through fatigue, drink or drugs, or fails to comply with instructions or safety standards.
Property and equipment
On selected courses, we will supply the training motorcycle. In the event that a Customer chooses to use their own machine for training purposes, it must be in roadworthy condition and comply with all current regulations and legislation, and if necessary display the current regulation "L" plates.
We reserve the right to refuse to train a Customer on their own machine if we deem the machine to be unsuitable for training purposes.
We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage, for any reason, to any Customer's personal property. Any damage caused to a Customer's own motorcycle whilst being used for training purposes is the responsibility of the Customer.
All equipment loaned free of charge or hired to the Customer must be treated with care and respect. If damage or loss is caused by wilful neglect or misuse then a charge of not more than the loss incurred by us will be made to the Customer.
Safety and responsibilities
Riding and driving, by their very nature, involve a degree of risk. In booking a course or a lesson, the Customer must accept these attendant risks and hazards.
Although every effort is made to ensure your safety during your course, you must realistically accept that there is a possibility that an accident may occur that causes injury to you. Unless shown to be deliberately negligent, your Instructor and / or Revs Motorcycle Training Limited is NOT liable for any expenses, loss, damage or injury incurred by you as a result of any incident that may occur.
Acceptance
When you book with us, you are deemed to accept the above terms and conditions.
